Sumner Newscow report — Two suspects, a 24-year-old male and a 20-year-old female, have been booked in Sumner County Jail for aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping and other related charges after a home invasion near Clearwater that occurred early this morning.Michael Salts and Zoe Ray McGowan, addresses not released, were taken into custody after an invasion incident that took place at 400 block West 130th Ave., south of Clearwater.Both Salts and McGowan are in Sumner County Jail with a $500,000 bond.According to a Sumner County Sheriff press release, around 7 a.m., Sumner County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim, who sustained injuries to his head. He reported to deputies that a white male entered his residence, grabbed him and hit him several times. The suspect took property from the residence and left. Other deputies located a mini-van stuck in the mud several miles away. The Kansas Highway Patrol troopers and the Kansas Wildlife and Parks assisted in searching the area. The KHP Air Section, spotted Salts and McGowan walking along a tree row nearby. They were then taken into custody and were booked at 12:57 p.m. today.Their currently being held with aggravated robbery, inflicting bodily harm, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated burglary.The victim was treated at a local medical facility and was released.
